Today’s Living Word: Thursday – Patience & Ice Cream

5–7 minutes

Prophecy received 09-26-26

Released 10-01-26, Prophecy #1028

Sardinia, Italy. An ice cream counter in a local ice cream parlour and cafe

Jesus Christ speaks prophecy to those who are waiting for the best of gifts and blessings:

When I tell you something is coming – the next question is always, “When?” Whether a gift, or a shift, or a healing promise of refreshing, “When?” is your reply. I understand your desire to know and I hear your every prayer and see your need. Be comforted in knowing the Father’s heart is always for your good and what is best for our family. We are working in every situation around the globe to bring His will to pass and to allow the Kingdom of Heaven to descend into the earth. Yes! That is a promise He will keep. “But why the waiting?” you ask.

Patience is a virtue of God. It is also a sign of your faith and trust in us and of your level of maturity. When a toddler hears he will enjoy an ice cream cone after dinner, there is anticipation and joy. If you tell the same child that one day, or some day, he will enjoy some ice cream, he will say, “But I want it now.” As he grows and matures and has many opportunities to enjoy the sweet treat, he will grow in his ability to anticipate and wait for such a blessing. Some of you have matured in your faith and understanding to manifest the fruit of patience as you wait for God’s promises to be fulfilled. Some of you are still in the toddler phase.

You can develop patience by cultivating the Word of God in your lives and by intimacy with us in prayer and worship. As your patience grows, you will realize it is not only helping you to endure until the goodness of God rains down from Heaven, but it is
strengthening you toward unity in the Kingdom. What love will flow from you to others as they awaken to God’s glory and light! Our Father has long patience for the lost to repent. His timing is authored in love and His eternal purpose is for all to be saved. Just and holy is He. So be patient for just a little longer and know that your patience will be well rewarded in the coming days and years. For the Kingdom age has come and with it many new faces and changes that will require your patience. Stand now in His Love, joy, peace and patience!

Today’s Written Word

II Peter 1:3-8 LSB 3 seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the full knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.

 4 For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.

5 Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, 6 and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, 7 and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love.

8 For if these things are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the full knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

James 5:7 AMP So wait patiently, brothers and sisters, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits [expectantly] for the precious harvest from the land, being patient about it, until it receives the early and late rains.

Revelation 21:10,11 KJV And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the Holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

11Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

A Word of Encouragement

Yes! Great changes and blessings are coming, but when Lord?! Please tell us when! I know, I have had the same prayers and questions, for many years now. Every word from the Lord seems imminent and pressing. Our position in Christ is to stand ready in obedience. He reminds us in today’s prophecy to wait for the promises of God to come to pass as we wait for a sweet treat like ice cream. Little kids, and some adults get seriously excited about ice cream, and are impatient about waiting. Some of us are waiting on healing, freedom, and some are praying every day for our loved ones to come home to Jesus and get saved. It seems that all this waiting is just for that reason. To allow more time for the ones we love to join the eternal family and to be rescued by our Lord. Let’s be determined to wait patiently, even if it’s uncomfortable, and see His glory and salvation come to the earth as it is in Heaven! Praise Him!
