Jesus Christ speaks a prophetic peom about receiving the new:
New Wine
What is the new wine?
Have you received it?
It was poured out long ago
Meant for all who would believe it!
I have come to teach and explain,
To lift you up for a clearer view.
To show you sights that until now,
Were hidden from your view.
What will you see, with eyes from me
That can see beyond the veil?
What beauty shines, to enlighten mine,
With weapons of wisdom to prevail!
Or will you shrink back, as enemies attack
And revelations come to pass?
When what you know is what I show
And your eyes are opened at last!
The new wine is coming.
Yes, it’s here even now.
The light and life of my glory is humming,
And soon all will change and bow.
My new is good for you,
Like the sweetest wine you’ve ever tasted!
But like champagne, it requires change.
Become new wineskins, and let the old be wasted!
Let religion and dogmas of men go!
To idolatry and traditions, just say no!
Let me fill you again and again,
Become intoxicated by my spirit and win!
Today’s Written Word
Isaiah 65:8,9 NKJV Thus says the LORD:
“As the new wine is found in the cluster,
And one says, ‘Do not destroy it,
For a blessing is in it,’
So will I do for My servants’ sake,
That I may not destroy them all.
9 I will bring forth descendants from Jacob,
And from Judah an heir of My mountains;
My elect shall inherit it,
And My servants shall dwell there.
Matthew 9:16,17 NKJV “No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse.
17 “Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”
I Corinthians 11:25,26 KJV After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. 26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.
Acts 2:12,13 KJV And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this 13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.
Acts 2:16-18 KJV But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18 And on my servants and my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

A Word of Encouragement
New wine is a prophetic theme of the Holy Spirit, symbolizing fresh anointing, intimacy, joy, harvest, and celebration. The new wine represents the life in the spirit that was given on Pentecost in Acts chapter two, and the blood of our Savior that was poured out to give us New, eternal life. It represents the fresh anointing of God upon those who will seek Him in true relationship and intimacy through Christ. It represents our death in our flesh when we make Christ Lord and stop living for ourselves or to please our own flesh. It is the bubbling up of the gift of the Holy Spirit within us and the touch of God upon us that makes us feel His presence and rejoice in the new and not the old. All is new in Christ, and all can be made new as we surrender to our Lord’s leading. The old traditions of men and churches that are not in the will of God are about to break and be wasted and tossed out. Let’s see with Christ’s eyes, and live in his love as we drink in the new!

We welcome you to come together Every Sunday Afternoon, doors open 1:30 for coffee & fellowship. At 2:00 pm we‘ll begin our Worship, Prayer & Bible Fellowship – followed by a Family Style Meal. We’ll unify in worship songs, praise, prayer, teaching of the scriptures, communion, ministering, and manifestations of the spirit. Join with us in joyful fellowship with God’s family. Our weekday, morning Bible Study is every Wednesday at 10:00 am! Doors open at 9:30 to get a tea or coffee and enjoy great fellowship with the saints. Then we’ll begin in praise, worship and prayer, receive communion, hear from God, and gather for an interactive study of the scriptures with snacks at the table.
