God speaks of growing us up like the grass and trees:
Life Flows From God
Voices coming in waves are hard to ignore,
louder and louder they soon will roar,
asking for help like the crying of a welp,
when rains descend and pour.
Who can deliver those in your quiver,
or make the sun to shine
when all seems to be lost, and sustaining life at any cost
seems impossible, even to mine.
That’s when I will rescue and regrow your fescue,
like a plant that was dormant – revived.
Stand strong in the night, holding fast to what’s right,
and run forward with all who survived.
For the seeds you have sown, were not of your own,
but the ones I gave you to feed.
And the trees that sprang up, as I filled your cup,
were grown in the valley of human need.
A hardwood is rare, and is grown with great care
over time and seasons of drought and victory.
But the best of My crops, cannot ever be stopped
like a strong oak, cedar or hickory.
It takes time to grow up, My children, so come and sup
from the flow of My Spirit I’ve given.
For now are the days, you’ll learn of My ways,
drawing life from My words – you’ll be driven.

Today’s Written Word

Genesis 7:23 NET So the LORD destroyed every living thing that was on the surface of the ground, including people, animals, creatures that creep along the ground, and birds of the sky. They were wiped off the earth. Only Noah and those who were with him in the ark survived.

Isaiah 44:14 NKJV He cuts down cedars for himself, and takes the cypress and the oak; He secures it for himself among the trees of the forest. He plants a pine, and the rain nourishes it.
I Peter 1:23 NKJV having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the Word of God which lives and abides forever,

A Word of Encouragement
We are in awe of our great God, the fountain of life. The God who spoke light into being and ordered the universe. Who placed life in seeds that break forth when watered, and authored the word of life to give us both physical and spiritual life and wisdom. God instructs us on how to grow and thrive in this life and the eons to come. We are nourished by Him in word, physically by all He made to feed and sustain us, and spiritually by His scriptures and His voice as He flows life and refreshing to our spirit. Let us be seeds that grow into tall, mature trees in God’s family. Let us each be planters and waterers of the precious seeds God has given us to nurture and feed. Today is the day to grow up into Christ in all God provides. Perhaps a great day to fall down on our knees and praise Him for His grace and mercy!
