Today’s Living Word: Wednesday – Healthy Balances

4–6 minutes

Prophecy received on 5-14-25

Jesus Christ speaks of healing in body, soul, and spirit:

The systems of the body do many things – take in nourishment, process it, eliminate the bad. In body, soul and spirit, each member of my body is responsible to go through these steps. What happens when a babe in Christ is fed very simple truths over and over without any deep challenges to mature? They remain an infant on the milk of the Word. What if you fed your body only milk forever? Or what if you learned a basic 200-word vocabulary and did not develop your mind? These seem ridiculous questions in the body and soul categories, as no parent would ever intentionally limit the maturing of their child in body and soul. In fact, our Father’s design is to challenge you to seek maturity. Even a toddler is drawn to investigate what they do not understand. They reach up and touch and taste and question why, why, why? Start asking some good questions now my brethren. Like, “how am I doing to mature in my body, soul and spirit in healthy ways Lord?”.

Your body is the temple of God and your vehicle to move through this life in the physical realm. Taking care of it has become an unhealthy obsession for some, and a neglected area for others. You need good nutrition, clean water, a bit of vigorous exercise, and some rest each day. If an event or illness threatens your good health, then come to me and I will heal you. If you have neglected these basics, then begin again today and find health in obedience, not drugs, not tricks or quick fixes, but in holiness and wisdom.

And what of your minds, my brethren? Are you reading the greatest book of wisdom daily and filling your thoughts with healthy spiritual nutrition? Yes, some are, and some are not. Your spirit is like a seed that sprouts and is born at your salvation. When you accept me as Lord, I ignite your spiritual life and you are born into my Kingdom. Your mind is the captain of your emotions and intellect, and I am the captain of your salvation in your body, soul, and spiritual wholeness. Put the light of the written scriptures and the spoken words I give into your minds to feed your spirit. To think on the things of the spirit is to grow and mature in mind and spirit. More on spiritual maturity to come.

Today’s Written Word:

I Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 4:14,15 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

I Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word that ye may grow thereby:

III John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Proverbs 4:20-23
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

A Word of Encouragement:

Our Lord Jesus Christ is the captain of our salvation, our wholeness in our body, soul and spirit. We disciples of Christ are three part beings, and we need all three parts to be healthy and strong. Neglecting any one part can be the downfall of the whole. Christ leads us as we develope in our spiritual walk to be more like him and to grow and mature. We must also exercise our physical bodies and minds. We take in good nourishment for mind and body, we meditate and process the good and we clean out the bad. Some of us have old soul hurts, or physical injuries that have not yet been healed. We MUST pay attention to all parts of our beings. Let’s go to the Lord who is our daily wholeness. The one who heals and refreshes and restores us day by day. We can clean up and heal up our thoughts (soul life) and bodies as the Lord leads.
