Christ speaks of blessing to the remnant:
Let the Redeemed of the Lord dance and sing! Blow the trumpet and shout for joy – for the Lord has visited his people. Selah!
Let’s Get Moving!
What would you do if everything was new,
and you awoke to a life unrecognizable?
Would you put on new shoes, and a job that you choose,
and begin to live in ways I say are advisable?
Oh my, what a change it will be, from the land to the sea.
All the old will be gone and destroyed.
But those who were warned, their old ways they have shorn,
and by me – are now joyfully employed!
Stand up and say yes to cleaning up the mess,
for the damage and debris will be great.
You’ll find a new way to work, dance and play,
in this new era where paths are made straight.
Look not to the old, nor be left out in the cold,
where the naysayers and accusers abide.
But look only to me, and to those who can see
my face as I lead and provide.
Turn not to the left, nor from the world to expect
any help in restoring your lives.
But by spiritual power, you’ll rise up in this hour
by my right hand, and in God’s blessings you’ll thrive!
Today’s Written Word:
Isaiah 52:9 Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.
Psalm 137:4 How shall we sing the LORD’S song in a strange land?
Joel 3:18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.
Hebrews 12:11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. 12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; 13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. 14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
Hebrews 12:25-28 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven: 26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. 27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
A Word of Encouragement:
New shoes and a job we choose, sounds wonderful! The part about the old being destroyed could also be a great positive, although cleaning up messes doesn’t sound as much like fun. We are going to move through this great and terrible day with the Lord holding our hand and providing all the information, comfort and supplies we need. Some of the most joyful victories in our lives have come out of the most difficult and austere circumstances. When we choose to speak truth, be thankful and walk in faith – nothing can defeat us! The Lord is reminding us to look to him and as we rise up in spiritual power, and God’s blessings will abound. Praise God!
