Today’s Living Word: Tuesday – The Tide God Will Stem!

3–5 minutes

Prophecy received on 4-11-25

God gives direction to overcome in love:

Go where I send you and speak a word of peace; peace to stop the wars that are raging in the heavens and upon the earth. Peace comes when strife is overcome. Where is strife? Is it a battle in your flesh or your mind? Has it become a barrier between you and your spouse or your children? Do you strive to spend time with me in the secret places of prayer and worship? Cast off the scorner and strife will cease. I am about to deliver all from the divisions of strife. When the evil has gone, strife will cease.

God Stems the Tide with Love

Love brings people together.
Love is the antidote to strife.

Love calms the rage of anger and fear,
replacing it with joy in your life.

Love is my weapon against division and apprehension
when the left fights the right.

Love overcomes when evil pushes hate and accusations fly.
Love wins the fight.

Love is encouragement when hope has faded.
Love is the light of a new dawn, when a storm has abated.

Love wins out with my prayer and clout
when the warriors are beginning to fade.

For my love is now flowing, to your hearts. It is going,
as deep in its rivers you wade.

Be filled to the full, and overflow to the dull,
and ignite the love that’s within them.

For you are the catalysts that turned the tide in this battle.
It’s the victory wave. The tide I will stem.

Today’s Written Word:

James 3:16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

Colossians 3:14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.

II Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fearbut of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

I Corinthians 8:1b AMP Knowledge [alone] makes [people self-righteously] arrogant, but love [that unselfishly seeks the best for others] builds up and encourages others to grow [in wisdom].

Philippians 1:9 And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment,

Ezekiel 47:5 NASB20 Again he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not wade across, because the water had risen, enough water to swim in, a river that could not be crossed by wading.

Isaiah 59:15 NLT In the west, people will respect the name of the LORD; in the east, they will glorify him. For he will come like a raging flood tide driven by the breath of the LORD.

A Word of Encouragement:

The definition of “stemming the tide” is to get control of something bad that is happening on a large scale, and stop it. This idiom transfers the ebb and flow of the ocean’s tides to human affairs. Here God says He will stem, or tack against the prevailing tide or stormy waves in order for us to avoid being steered off course or worse by the world’s flow against us. He is about to cast out the scorner, those devils that aflict and block us are about to be gone. We are to go against the world’s doctrines, culture, and evil by flowing in the Holy Spirit of God. We abide in His love, His presence, and in our Lord Jesus Christ our Savior. Now is the time to be saturated in His word and truth, and to live with His love flowing from His throne of living waters to us and through us to others. Love is His antidote to strife, anger and fear. Let’s get swimming in it!
