Today’s Living Word: Monday – Sing a New Song!

3–4 minutes

A Poem from God to cheer us on to singing new songs:

Sing a New Song

Sing, sing, sing to me a new song,
one of advancement and glory.
The enemies are vanquished,
and it’s the end of their story.

The waiting is over, the storms have passed.
The captives are free, truly free – free at last!
This is the new day and awake are all peoples.
This is the restart and the crashing of false steeples!

We took down their idols
of Baal and Ashtaroth,
we took off their rags
and put on them new mantels and cloths.

And when the dust settled,
we saw the new light,
for the old ways were gone,
along with the night.

Now get up and get moving,
my army of faithful and true,
get moving and helping
those I’m sending you to.

This is not like before, no more opening doors
nor breaking down walls of resistance.
For the evil have gone and vacated the ones
who will now seek your assistance.

Be kind in your speaking to the ones who are seeking
a new start and Jesus’ forgiveness.
They’ll be needing much love, as push comes to shove,
and they learn to obey and walk with us.

I Corinthians 14:15b I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

Revelation 15:3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

A Word of Encouragement:

What a great joy to sing our God a new song. Some of us are seeking new ways, happier days and a new song in our hearts! We have heard for many years of this coming day of the Lord, when enemies are vanquished, captives are set free, and we are in the midst of a great turning from the world to God’s ways. It is good to be filled with faith and picture the coming deliverance of those we love. This will happen, and it will very soon be our reality. Get out your song books and start pracitcing up for the days of joy and rejoicing are near. Praise God for a glorious new day!
