Today’s Living Word: Thursday – Hearts on Fire!

3–5 minutes

Jesus Christ gives a prophetic poem about fires in our hearts:

Hearts on Fire!

Hearts on fire with burning desire,
come before me in praise.
Worship our Father in holy devotion,
your voices and hands you’ll raise.

And when all come near, my voice you will hear
in gratitude for your obedience,
for out of your caves, you’ll gathered in waves,
filled with spirit, and glorious ingredients.

God made you unique, your talents to peak
at just the right moment in time,
and now is the hour to release mighty power
and deliver all who will be mine.

For the day has come to finally have fun
in living your dreams and desires.
Stand up and take note of the visions I wrote
upon hearts ablaze with my fires.

Longing for more of all we will pour
out upon the faithful and righteous,
keep your hands open wide and stay near to my side
as I lead you to become more and more like us.

Today’s Written Word:

Jeremiah 20:9 Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.

Psalm 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

I Thessalonians 2:17 But we, brethren, being taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly to see your face with great desire.

I Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Hebrews 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Isaiah 30:33b The breath of the LORD, like fire from a volcano,
will set it ablaze.

II Corinthians 12:1 It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.

Psalm 81:10 I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

A Word of Encouragement:

What an encouraging poem from our Lord! Many of us have felt the glory and presence of God as we come before Him in praise and worship. We have been welcomed into the very throne of God because His Son tore the veil from top to bottom and paid for our sins with his blood. His sacrifice gave us full access to the throne of God at any moment. Now that we are spirit filled and connected to God through Jesus Christ, we can pray, listen and commune with God. The gift of His spirit is the power by which we can hear God and receive words, visions, and knowledge from Him and Jesus Christ. As we spend time in worship and praise, we grow closer and more mature, developing our talents and unique gifts. We are indeed a pequliar people, and our hearts are ablaze for our God as we yearn to spend time with Him. Let’s obey our Lord, as our hearts burn to be more and more like him.
