Jesus Christ explains how and why to listen:

Hearing Is Easy

Hearing me is easy,
like one – two – three!
Come and ask, and sit still to listen,
and you will see and hear from me.

It’s not difficult nor mysterious
to hear our Father’s voice,
He speaks to all who come and seek,
so you can receive and rejoice.

When troubles come and it’s hard to hear
through all the fear and noise,
He’ll be your peace and a true lifeline,
for you will know His voice.

And what of me your Lord and King,
can you hear me when I speak?
Or have you left my heart of rest,
and turned to men’s voices to seek.

I am speaking to you in your spirit
by words, and thoughts, and knowing.
Only quiet your mind, and give me some time
and together we’ll manifest the glory He’s showing.

For we are of God, who obey every word
and direction that He has spoken.
It is the time and season to leave behind old ways of reason,
and be filled with His spirit – not broken.

For cisterns are limited,
like words from the past,
though they are holy and their power is vast,
we cannot rely only upon them.

For a new day has come, and those who are won
to this movement now will be shaken
by the breath of our God, and His voice from above,
as He shouts for all to awaken!

John 3:5,6,8 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Ephesians 4:20,21 But ye have not so learned Christ;

If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

Psalm 38:15 NIV LORD, I wait for you; you will answer, Lord my God.

I John 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

Ezekiel 37:9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

A Word of Encouragement

When receiving this prophetic poem, I remembered this song: It’s easy as one, two, three! Next time we are struggling to hear the voice of God or our Lord Jesus Christ, let’s remember what he said: hearing me is easy like 1, 2, 3! Ask, listen and obey. 🙂
