God speaks to those who serve others as He leads:
What is generosity? Is it giving away what you don’t need anymore – or what you do need? What would you say if I asked each of you to dedicate 30% of your home to house strangers? Would you
make up the spare office into a bedroom and get your best linens for someone you don’t even know? Think about the unused spaces in your homes. Many of you have been blessed with lovely homes and an abundance of room to spare. Clear it out and prepare for guests. They are coming soon, for many will be without shelter and without heat.
When was the last time you had a family reunion? Were some of your favorite relatives there, people you had not seen in years and some you had not met before? I am planning a great gathering of our family. Soon you will understand and soon you will see genius behind all that I am bringing together. Love those I send to you for rescue and help, as though they are family. Make them feel at home, as though you were welcoming in a brother or sister by birth, for I have birthed many in Christ that you have not yet known.
This is a time to trust me, my children. Trust that I am leading you and preparing to care for our family. What would you do if you suddenly became homeless? Sleep in your car? No, not for long. You would go to friends and family members and ask them for grace in your time of need. Not all homeless people are scary and dirty – some are people just like you. Prepare to be generous, my beloved. Get excited about the places and spaces I am inspiring you to prepare for those I am sending your way. Great devastation will cause great desperation, and your help will be required to rescue my beloved. Be blessed and joyful in my service. Be honored I have asked you to make such a sacrifice to care for my family, for great shall be your reward.
Today’s Written Word:
Matthew 25:35-40 AMP “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father [you favored of God, appointed to eternal salvation], inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
‘For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in;
I was naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me [with help and ministering care]; I was in prison, and you came to Me [ignoring personal danger].’
“Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink?
‘And when did we see You as a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You?
‘And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’
“The King will answer and say to them, ‘I assure you and most solemnly say to you, to the extent that you did it for one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it for Me.’
A Word of Encouragement:
Knowing relatives are coming for a visit is usually exciting and fun to prepare for. We clean and prepare food to bless them. Having visitors we don’t know come into our homes can be stressful, and sounds understandably strange. Back in July, 2024 God gave us this prophetic heads up, that we will soon have an opportunity to help those in need. We have heard God’s warnings that many storms are coming, ones like the fire storms that just went through the streets and suburbs of Los Angeles, CA. There are thousands of families who have nothing but the love of God to rely on now. We Christians who live in His love, and obey His leading can offer our homes for shelter, our food and prayers for comfort and our hospitality in service to our Lord who is all love. The scripture above is a quote from our Lord Jesus teaching true discipleship in him is to love our neighbors as ourselves, and to view other Christians as family. We can do all things through him as we look to Christ who is the author and finisher of our faith.
