Today’s Living Word: Wednesday – The Heart of God

4–5 minutes

God speaks to those who are seeking His voice:

Tell my people I am waiting for them in my secret place – the one they cannot reach in their drive-by prayers of tossing one up to me out of desperation or just before their car crashes. “Oh God, help me!” Let my people know I require devotion and their sacrificing some of their precious time to sit with me and give me their full attention. I ask, can you block out 15 minutes for me your God, or possibly an hour, 3 times a week? Start with what seems doable for you, but get started now. The prodigals will all be welcomed back with great rejoicing, as in my Word, but they will still be required to learn how to function and serve in their Father’s Kingdom. They will need to hear my voice and learn to hear and obey my son, for he only speaks to the faithful. Remember, many are called, few are chosen, and even fewer still are faithful.  (Rev.17:14)

It is a circle of faith. I have sent my son, who then leads people to me, the God of the universe, the one and only true God, the Creator. I am God. Then, I give you holy spirit to connect us, all because you accepted my Christ. Then after you have moved through the basic steps of repentance and learning, sanctification and devotion to me, you can learn to hear and know my Son, Christ.

Those who can hear him can lead and teach others. Getting born again is the beginning of our relationship, like the outer door to the gate of my property that is my Kingdom. Once you are saved, you are my children and you are “in” my family and have access. But many of you are still far from me in location of lifestyle, thoughts and behaviors. You who are near can help to draw others nearer to my heart, which is the center of the Kingdom. There is the gate, who is Christ. You enter my Kingdom by Christ, then the outer courtyards, then my outer courts, after that – the inner courts, and finally the heart of God – my inner throne and sanctuary. Be in my heart today, my children. Find your way to me.

Today’s Written Word

The phrase “secret place” is used 16 times in the King James Bible. It is defined as: covering, hiding place, or protection.

Psalm 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Job 22:12-14 Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!

And thou sayest, How doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud?

Thick clouds are a covering H5643  (secret place) to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh in the circuit of heaven.

II Corinthians 11:3 But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent.

Romans 12:21 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

Ezekiel 28:6 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;

A Word of Encouragement

We approach God with praise and thanksgiving, and He will speak to us, love us, give us wisdom and talk to us personally. God waits for us to come and sit in patience and peace, and meet with Him in our secret place. We shut out the cares of the world and commune with Him in private. The best way to hear from God is to do Psalm 100:4 & 5. We approach God in thankfulness and praise.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
