Jesus Christ speaks of a coming snow storm:
Winter Wonderland
Looks like snow! Oh but no,
it looks like A LOT OF SNOW!!!
Are you ready for a wintery wonderland of ice and heavy snow?
Better get prepped up now my beloved, for it is about to flow.
You have the blessing of a long heads up
to give you time to prepare
for locked inside, with your eyes open wide,
you’ll be forced to sit and stare.
Come to me in these quiet days and listen as I explain,
the ways you can overcome, and dig out without the strain
from loss of work and school and the income you desire,
as you prepared ahead of time, you’ll be relaxing by the fire.
The news will say it’s a shocking surprise,
this storm that froze the nation,
but you’ll be ready, for I have warned, you’re on an early vacation.
No need to pack a bag nor drive, or fly away to a distant shore,
but be still inside and take some time to listen,
and talk with me some more.
The time has come to have some fun,
as we draw the family closer,
the Father and I are letting you know,
you will not be going out to your grocer.
So, sit a while and pray with us,
be encouraged and uplifted,
for soon the days of darkness will come,
and the lost will have been sifted.
Be in our heart of peace and plenty
as you prepare to keep your family warm,
for soon and very soon, you’ll see
the mother of all storms.
Today’s Written Word
Nahum 1:3 The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
Esther 9:19 NLT So to this day, rural Jews living in remote villages celebrate an annual festival and holiday on the appointed day in late winter, when they rejoice and send gifts of food to each other.
Psalm 147:15-17 He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.
He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes. He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?
Psalm 61:3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
Proverbs 31:20-22 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.
She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple.
A Word of Encouragement
Well, who doesn’t love to see a winter wonderland of snow in December? Those who are not prepared, that’s who. Let’s get excited and “prepped up” as Jesus said, for the mother of all storms! Since we have had this early heads up, we can get extra supplies to help with indoor and outdoor needs, things that will bless babies and kids – like extra food, games and diapers, and we can think through what might be needed for our animals and pets. We have all been trapped inside by a snow storm or bad weather, so let’s be proactive by having extra water, food, heating and lights available to weather any storm in peace and plenty!
