The Lord Jesus Christ speaks of a new, delightful day: 

Heavenly Communion

And what would you say, if I carried you away,
to a place where all is delightful?
Would you bask in the glow, or try desperately to know
how and why you’d arrived, and be spiteful?

No, you will say, for it is a new day,
and the past is gone and over,
and you will ensue on a journey of the new
and all there is to discover.

Be brave now my people, leave those buildings with steeples
and try to walk into what’s scary.
I have called you to me, not a building, you’ll see
in my fellowship, all will be merry.

Yes, a new day has dawned
and with it a call for communion
to govern and lead all you meet, as we walk down the street
to deliver in my health and heavenly union.

A touch you will give, that another may live,
in a day that is dark and distressing.
Then with a loud shout, “I’m healed!” will ring out,
and all will come for a blessing.

Today’s Written Word

Communion = koinōnia  G2842, meaning:  partnership, i.e. (literally) participation, or (social) intercourse, or (pecuniary) benefaction:—(to) communicate(-ation), communion, (contri-)distribution, fellowship.

I Corinthians 10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

II Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

I Corinthians 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship ^G2842 of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

II Corinthians 8:4 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship ^G2842 of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Ephesians 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship ^G2842 of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things.

A Word of Encouragement

As we submit our will to become the will of our Lord Jesus Christ we become at one, or in full communion with him. Like a husband and wife become as one in thoughts, words, heart and deeds, we grow up into the full measure of the faith of Jesus as we endeavor to learn all about him and become just like him. We have Christ within us, and are of God as he is. Let’s lean into our relationship with him and become power filled by obeying his every word. Praise God for sending His Son to save us and lead us to His heart!
