Jesus Christ speaks of our calling to service:
What brings you joy, my brethren? Is it your family or your work? Perhaps a day of vacation to rest and relax? Or is it a sense of satisfaction and victory when you are challenged in those areas of life. When a difficult job presents hardship and you find a way to overcome, do you experience joy? What about helping your family in times of trouble and distress? Joy is an inner strength that comes from above. It cannot be compared to a fleeting emotion like happiness. To be happy is a state of how you feel in the moment, but joy is an inner reflection of who you are in Christ. It is a descriptive description of our character.
Let’s be a joy-filled family now! I will fill you with my joy as you come to me with hearts and arms wide open as little children do. Ask of me to give you all you need and I will pour out wisdom and resources to sustain you in every power and ability to overcome the obstacles ahead. Your strength is in me, and I am in you. Lean upon me, your Lord now, and I will guide and instruct you to great and mighty victories. In this new life joy can be a reward for accomplishing a task, but also a motivation to do a hard thing.
Find your joy in me now, my beloved brethren, for a mighty challenge lies ahead. I am sending you out to rescue the dead and dying from eternal destruction. So great a challenge has never been charged to so many. You who are few now will become many, for I am raising up a mighty army of hosts and warriors to fight for and rescue the lost. This is the hour to prepare for battle, to gather your strength and me, and to become more skilled in brandishing your sword of the Spirit. Be quick to offer a word of salvation, to pray for the sick and downtrodden. And to comfort the sorrowful. Be well rested, well instructed and committed to answer my call to action in the hour of darkness.
God’s Prophetic Poetry
Power, Hope and Joy
A window has open to let in my light.
Do not draw back, nor choose to skip out on this fight.
Be brave now and strong in my love and delight,
for weapons they are in the darkest of nights.
Stand up and be bold and refuse opposition,
for few are the ones who will take on this mission
Ascend up above all the lies of the world,
the ones of defeat, that the evil have hurled.
Say yes to my plea and speak out like a trumpet,
and all those seeking will rush to your pulpit.
A word they will seek for refreshing and answers,
and prayers to relieve depression and cancers.
And you who are ready,
and filled with my joy,
will step forward in power
– hope and love to deploy.
Today’s Written Word
Matthew 10:1 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
Matthew 10:5-8 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
