Jesus Christ speaks of daily choices becoming eternal: 

What would you sacrifice to get what you want – four years of time and dedication to earn a college degree or perhaps a daily routine of diet and exercise to become fit and strong? Many people make great sacrifices to achieve success in mind and body every day, but few will set aside personal pleasures to gain spiritual success. Why do you think that is? It’s because the spiritual realm is unseen to most. What is not tangible is not real nor attainable to those who live by their natural mind and senses.  

Walk by your spirit now, my brethren, and do not live for earthly nor fleshly pleasures, but seek that which is from above. Who can see into the spiritual realm, and who among you will lead when those things in the physical fall away? Those comforts and daily habits you enjoy with will soon disappear, and holiness will become a far greater treasure than silver and gold. What is spiritual success and how do you begin to a path toward such lofty goals? Fear not, my beloved brethren, for a manual has been given to lead you in the paths of righteousness and to direct your every step.  

Go now to the Book of Life and begin to read how to succeed. All the steps of those who came before are written and recorded to show you the way – the ones who followed my lead and found great wisdom and power, and also the failures of those who could not see. Open your eyes now and look to the wisdom of God. The world has flooded the eyes and ears and mouths of my family with wasteful information, entertainment and foods that distract and degrade your lives. Turn away from that darkness and be illuminated by the holiness of God who is His Word. 

Let the light of God’s eternal wisdom flood your eyes and thrill your senses as the words upon the pages become living and real to you. It is your entrance into the spiritual, your path and elevation from earthly to heavenly living. Put off the old, dead and dying ways of the earth and become new in me, your Christ. Live a vibrant, refreshed life in me, the living Word – the light of life. For, you have been bought with a great sacrifice from death unto life. I have paid all so you may live in spirit and truth. Die unto your flesh, and awaken to the glory of the spiritual life within you, and great shall be your eternal rewards. 

Today’s Written Word

Romans 12:1-3 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Matthew 5:48 AMP “You, therefore, will be perfect [growing into spiritual maturity both in mind and character, actively integrating godly values into your daily life], as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Romans 5:3-5 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience  (spiritual maturity) and experience, hope:

And hope maketh not ashamed (dissapointed) ; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

I Corinthians 7:23 Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.

A Word of Encouragement

Our Lord is speaking of our goals in body, mind and spirit. He points out that many people sacrifice personal comforts to achieve physical and mental goals, but few can see the spiritual realm, and so do not attend to striving for excellence in that category. People have a limited number of years of natural here on earth, and a possibility of thousands and thousands to come with Christ throughout eternity. He said that many of the comforts and physical distractions that we enjoy are about to fall away, and our goals will shift from self satisfaction to holiness. He encourages us to look to the word of God and begin to walk in the spirit now and become illuminated.

An Action Item

He said the eternal wisdom of God will thrill our senses as the words in the pages of the Bible become living and real. Our entrance into the spiritual and heavenly realms begins by walking according to the scriptures. We can become vibrant and refreshed by living for and in our Lord who is the LIVING WORD. We must die to our flesh in order to become awakened to the spiritual life within us. It is a process of putting down the worldly choices, and putting on the holy word in action and thought. This is Christ’s direction for building and reaping eternal rewards for the next million years and beyond!
