Jesus Christ speaks of a season of refreshing, feasts, and glory: 

Fly up now, my beloved, come to where I wait with your robes of white – to clothe you with power and refreshing. Trust in me, your King and Lord, and I will anoint you with the oil of joy, and with garments of praise, and the wine of celebration. The trumpets have sounded, the blasts gone out before the kings of the earth. Now is the hour of gathering into my barns to prepare for my great feast. A season of refreshing has begun. The tares are cut and wither away. The grain is now ripe for harvesting. Let it not fall ungathered, but go and gather it into my barns.  

My trumpets have announced the entrance of my glory upon you, for my light now shines forth and you are becoming illuminated – polished vessels of honor that shall be exalted and filled with new wine. New wine in new vessels for a new day and at the appointed time. Go now and speak forth this message before the nations. The King has come to rule his Kingdom and all are welcome at the celebration. 

Come small and great, and see my glory. Open the gates wide, and welcome in the mighty crowds who come in earnest and in curiosity. Feed them at my tables, for a feast has been prepared to nourish those who hunger and thirst for my righteousness. Give and all will be multiplied. Speak and your words will resound over the hills and waters as thunder echoes across the heavens. Be trumpets of truth and shine forth in the darkest of nights and the longest of days. Hold fast to what is promised now and be not shaken by what is seen and heard from the depths of the earth. 

All is not lost, all that is life eternal is of me. All that reeks of death is of that wicked one. He it is that has reigned this terror upon you. I am he who will cover you in your darkest hour and cause the light to return. Pray for the lost to be covered as well. Pray and fast for the weak and fearful to find shelter in the storms and rescue them. You who are my lights will be their covering. Be my voice and speak words of life today.

Today’s Written Word

Revelation 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

Isaiah 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

II Corinthians 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

II Thessalonians 2:2,3 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Psalm 56:4 In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.

A Word of Encouragement

We are encouraged to fly up and receive our robes of white! We can ascend to the throne of God and commune with him and Jesus Christ at any time. Our Lord and savior has anointed us in oil and praise. We are the called out to begin reaping the harvest and preparing to receive the feast of celebration that he has prepared. He has given us new clothes, new wine and we are indeed new vessels in Christ.

An Action Item

We are called to be trumpets for Christ, to thunder across the heavens as we speak for him. As we speak the truth in faith we will be shaking things up and not be shaken by the events to come. We know the evil one is the author of death, but it will not come near us! We are givers of hope, the shiny ones who live light and love in the face of the darkness. We are blessed indeed!
