Today’s Living Word Wednesday – A Glorious Surprise

4–6 minutes

God speaks prophecy to those who believe:

What makes for a good day? One that is joyful and successful, or one that goes as you have planned? Some of your best days are ahead, my beloved, and they will not go as you expect. If you plan to relax at home today or work in the garden, and a big surprise arrives at your door, you would rejoice – especially when it is a gift from me to increase your wealth and health. What might that look like and how would it be delivered? This is not a time for guessing, but for faith. For I have planned and prepared a way to strengthen each of my faith-filled children to move through the coming days with peace and plenty. Plenty is more than enough, and I am the God of abundance, so fear not.

Wait upon me, my sweet family. Hold out your hands in joyful expectation and receive all I have to give. Do not struggle nor strive to get more or get ahead, but trust in me to give you more than enough. Who ships your packages and delivers your food now? Say goodbye to those services, for they will cease soon. You will become the only way to gather and get. Think local and low tech. Who provides food and services in your neighborhood? Look around and make some lists – on paper. Be prepared to connect with friends and family and local suppliers without your phone lists. Peace, peace. All is new and all is changing.

Stay in my will and the answers will come. Like lightning and thunder, they will strike, as you look to me I will deliver great inventions and clever new ways to overcome the weariness and fatigue of war. You will be the ones who have many reasons to celebrate when others are failing. You will have food and health when plagues come and peace when others are rioting in the streets. Be at peace in me, my children. Stand still and see my glory come. Receive ye my joy and plenty. Refuse fear and lack and say out loud, “Behold, the glory of our God has come, and we are glad!”.

Today’s Written Word

A couple of God’s surprises to bless his people. A dream to an enemy defeated with pitchers and trumpets, an army missing.

Judges 7:13 And when Gideon had come, there was a man telling a dream to his companion. He said, “I have had a dream: To my surprise, a loaf of barley bread tumbled into the camp of Midian; it came to a tent and struck it so that it fell and overturned, and the tent collapsed.”

II Kings 7:5 And they rose at twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians; and when they had come to the outskirts of the Syrian camp, to their surprise no one was there.

Job 37:3 He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.

Luke 17:24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

I Samuel 7:10 And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: but the LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten before Israel.

Psalm 77:18 The voice of thy thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook.

Deuteronomy 5:24 And ye said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.

A Word of Encouragement

A glorious surprise is coming to us from our God. He will send blessings to increase our wealth and health. He tells us He will send answers to us like a bolt of lightning to inspire clever solutions to war time weariness and challenges. Our God is way ahead of the coming challenges. How great and loving He is!

An Action Item

We are to be faith filled and have high expectations as God supplies all we need in abundance. He did say that the delivery services will cease, and that we should start making lists of important phone numbers “on paper”. That implies that our phones and technology will be spotty at times, or perhaps unavailable for a time. We will refuse fear and lack by speaking of God’s blessings and glory upon us. We will have joy despite the challenges. Believers believe!
