Christ speaks to the new leaders in the church body:
Happy days are here again! Do you know the song? Do you remember being joyful and celebrating life? Some of you do. When it was easy to work and live in plenty? When families were close and kindness was shown to all? When neighbors helped and appreciated each other, and it was a pleasure to offer assistance to those who needed a helping hand? Look to the older generation now, my beloved family, and they will show you the way. Learn how to be selfless in your giving and service and find relief from isolation by building a community of friends.
Go to where the people are gathering and begin to help. They will need your labor in the clean-up and rebuilding process, but far more necessary will be your smiles and an attitude of optimism. When all seems hopeless, my family will bring hope. I will go before you and lead the way. The doors I open to you will be ones of service and responsibility for there will be much work to do. Do not fear these new positions, for I am leading you, and all will be enabled to accomplish my will as you but obey me.
Work out your wholeness and salvation by walking with me and trusting me, your Lord. You have been awakened to live, give, and serve in my name. Be the peacemakers and problem solvers for your generation, be excited for the new ways I will bring to your understanding. You have been given a great gift of opportunity to reset your culture, communities and commerce now. Do not be slack in carrying out my call to duty and service to your fellow man- for this opportunity will not come again. The beginning of every age is the fulcrum of change and you are those who are called to build upon my foundation. I am the chief cornerstone and the rock of all ages. Build the new upon the stability of my living words.
Today’s Written Word

An example of a massive cornerstone, upon which all other building stones are set to form the living temple of God
Acts 2:42 – 46 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
II Corinthians 8:4 Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.
Nehemiah 4:6 So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.
Acts 4:11,12 “This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’
“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
A Word of Encouragement
The lyrics of the “Happy Days” Song are:
Happy days are here again, The skies above are clear again, Happy days are here again, So let’s sing a song of cheer again, So long sad times, Go long bad times, We are rid of you at last, Howdy good times, Cloudy gray times. You are now a thing of the past!
All together shout it now, There’s no one, Who can doubt it now, So let’s tell the world about it now, Happy days are here again!
Your cares and troubles are gone, There’ll be no more from now on, From now on, Happy days are here again, The skies above are clear again, So let’s sing a song of cheer again, Happy times, happy nights, Happy days are here again!
An Action Item
Christ is speaking to the new leaders in the his church. That tells me some will be vacating positions, and some will be stepping up to serve. We can be lifting these new leaders in preparation of the changes that are coming. If you are one of the people that our Lord is calling to serve in a new office or new way – congratulations! We are standing with you and cheering you on. Let’s be helpers of joy and optimistic lights shining into the dark days. When others are faced with loss and fear, we will speak truth, life and peace into challenging conversations. We are born again to serve our Lord and our fellow family members. Let’s be joyful in service!
