God speaks truth into the darkness to correct the evil ones:

Change is in the air. A change that you did not expect- nor can you pray away. A change that looks evil but is from me, the Great and Terrible God. Rolling Thunder echoes across your skies and lightning strikes in violent succession. No storm was forecast, but here it is. I have sent my judgment upon your land, O Babylon, receive ye my fury. Hide and shelter now, my precious and beloved. When you see me move across the heavens, do not go out, for none that travel shall escape. Hide yourselves away and lock your doors, pull down the blinds and close the drapes. Keep far from the scenes of evil outside your windows. Be not deceived and do not be tempted by the lights and sirens you hear, nor answer the cries for rescue. Be in safety by guarding all of your gates. Those who look to see will be sorry they did. It is not for you, my holy ones, not for you to know nor to witness. The images of darkness and depravity are not easy to erase, and I warn you, so that you do not see them.

Look to me in the night season and I will be your light and peace. Speak joy and peace and know that my light will come again. None can stop this correction and none can stop my love and deliverance as I have poured it out upon you. Hold up under the pressure and be my pillars of strength and rocks of stability. You are well prepared to support the weak and trembling now. Rehearse my words I have spoken. Speak them to each other, and let all know that I have warned of this coming day. The Day of Vengeance of your God has arrived. None shall stop, none shall escape, none who have chosen the way of darkness may live. Be holy in these days. Be ye separate and without rebuke. Do not engage in evil. Do not speak evil, do not do any evil, or even agree with the evil done. Be all light and love and hold tight to me now. I will keep you safe and I will be your light and lifeline. Come unto me with a pure heart and be sanctified in your thoughts and actions.

Today’s Written Word

Nehemiah 1:5 And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:

Terrible, yārē’, H3372: inspire reverence, godly fear, and awe

Isaiah 61:1-8 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.

For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

A Word of Encouragement

We are to accept God’s encouragement and warnings of what is coming. He has given us a very specific sign of what and when He will move to correct the evil in the earth. He is alerting us to a day of physical and spiritual storms that we are to prepare for so we are tucked away from any harm. When evil people commit evil it is hard to hear about and even more difficult to see. God is saying to guard our gates, which we know are our eyes and ears, and to not let those sounds and images in. It reminds me of our loving parents saying to us as young children “don’t play in the street, and don’t watch scary movies”. We can claim peace by obeying God.

An Action Item

This is a strong prophecy today, one that feels very heavy, and yet hopeful. We are given very specific directions to obey when the day comes. We are told to hide and shelter, to not travel, to lock our doors and pull our blinds and drapes closed, and not to look at or listen to what goes on outside. God said to look to Him for light and peace in the night season. God is His word, so we will be reading it and finding peace and hope in Him. We are to speak it forth and be pillars of strength holding up against the pressures and helping the weak. We are to be holy and sanctified and not have any part in evil. We have pure hearts, thoughts and actions during the storms and darkness because God is our light and lifeline, and He promised us the light will return!
