Jesus Christ speaks to students of the written and spoken word:
Who is responsible to hear and obey? The priest alone, or is every person called to hear the words of the Lord and carry them out? God has spoken over the centuries and many have listened and recorded his words. Some were given out immediately and some were released at a later time. All are true, all are holy. Many come to the word to analyze and debate. Some will come out of curiosity and some of obligation or duty. Those of you who come for connection and instruction are indeed rare gems and to those I say come!
Ask of me, your Lord and Christ, to open God’s words and reveal their application. I will give you understanding and lead you to our Father’s heart. You who are dedicated to living in me and becoming living sacrifices to God will dig deep to find the treasures within. True understanding is revealed to you by the Spirit. Natural man’s thoughts are focused on the natural realm, but spiritual thoughts on the things of the Spirit. What are those questions you have about the working of the spirit in you, my brethren? Will you seek my enlightenment and ask the difficult questions? Who can say if a man’s heart is good or evil but God alone? Judge not one another, my brethren, but come unto me and judge the words one speaks to be holy or carnal.
You who are spiritual can hear my voice. You can sit at my feet and be instructed as a young child hears the reading of the Word from his mother. Come now and ask of me. What is next and what have I asked of you? Who will lead and who must become followers? I have all knowledge, for our Father speaks and I hear him clearly. You are of our family and may ask all and I will reveal it to you in secret. You who seek to obey the will of God and to walk in holiness may ask and receive. Care not for the words of rebuke and accusation of the brethren, my beloved brethren, for they come not from above. Our Father is a builder of His family in love and honesty. Follow after love and forgiveness so you may grow into a glorious church, one without spot or wrinkle. Seek enlightenment, gain understanding, and come unto me, your Lord, and receive all, so that you may grow and mature in me. The hour is late, my brethren. Come now.
Today’s Written Word
Colossians 3:24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
Acts 10:36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)
Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymms and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
Ephesians 4:20 – 24 But ye have not so learned Christ;
If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Philippians 1:27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
Revelation 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
I Timothy 5:19 Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.
A Word of Encouragement
Jesus Christ encourages us to dig deep into the Words of God and reminds us that all are responsible to hear and obey them. He lists many reasons that people come to the Word, some to analyze and debate, some out of curiosity or duty, and some to learn. He also gives us comfort and reassurance that “You who seek to obey the will of God and to walk in holiness may ask and receive. That’s a promise from our Lord! We can ask in secret, and he will reveal the understanding and application of God’s Words to us. Amen, and praise God for our personal Lord and savior Jesus Christ!
An Action Item
He also spoke about words of rebuke and accusation of the brethren. There is a wind of accusation blowing across the globe that is fanned by the evil ones. God does not accuse his children, and he does not inspire accusation between brethren. We are encouraged to become “without spot nor wrinkle”, and that is our goal. I Peter 1:18,19 say that we were redeemed by the blood of the Lamb who was without spot or blemish, and we are indeed redeemed! In Eph.5:27 spot is defined as: a stain or blemish upon us – a darkness on us, which refers to spiritual uncleanness. And wrinkle is: a fold, or mark upon our body. It is the physical walk in how we live in our body and soul choices. Let’s be holy in all aspects of life as we walk IN Christ, and in God’s grace.
