Today’s Living Word – Get Fired Up!

5–8 minutes

God speaks to those who will turn to see:

What was in the burning bush that caught Moses’ attention? Was it an actual fire? No, it was the fire of God, the spirit that burns within each of you today. Are you fired up and burning white hot in your spirit for me today, my people? Or have you been suppressed in your spirit by weighty matters of life that dampen the truth and restrict you from living for me? Turn up the flames of my power in you and let’s get cooking!

Flames in the natural realm can do many things. They can warm you, as a campfire or a wood stove. Flames can cook your food to release nutrients and they can boil water to purify it for drinking. Long ago, flames were used to heat irons, to sear open wounds closed and purify them, and to forge weapons and metals for useful tools. Some of those skills may be required again in the coming years. Fires can also cleanse a forest and ignite new growth after the flames have gone out. They can burn up the chaff after a harvest and can burn up garbage when there is excess about.

Look to the skies and see my heavenly host as they ride upon chariots of fire, bringing you all the giftings I have promised. I am sending the new now, my precious and weary beloved family, to those who have clung to hope in these days of evil and desperation. I am bringing new gift ministries to bless and refresh you. I will restore all that the devils have stolen by sevenfold. I will replace those parts of your bodies that are broken and torn with NEW! You who are faithful and who trust in me, the only true God, will receive creative miracles in waves of glory. It will descend where I send it without request, and it will rest upon the holy and stay.

You who are mine will rest in my presence and be enveloped in my love for you. It will be a pure and glorious experience that you will not want to leave, not for food nor rest, but you must keep moving and tell others of my power and presence. This is the time of revival, my people Be revived, and be flames of fire wherever you go. Witness my power and healing to all who will turn to see and be those who heal, warm, purify and cleanse. Start a new wave of revival in my spirit.

Today’s Written Word

II Timothy 1:6 AMP That is why I remind you to fan into flame the gracious gift of God, [that inner fire—the special endowment] which is in you through the laying on of my hands [with those of the elders at your ordination].

Matthew 3:12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

Luke 24:32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

Acts 17:27 so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;

I Corinthians 4:1 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.

I Corinthians 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

Hebrews 1:5 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

Ezra 9:8 “And now for a little while grace has been shown from the LORD our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and give us a measure of revival in our bondage.

Psalm 119:40 Behold, I long for Your precepts;
Revive me in Your righteousness.

Quicken, zōopoieō = G2227, of the spirit, quickening as respects the spirit, endued with new and greater powers of life

Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

II Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. G2227

A Word of Encouragement

How exciting that God encourages us to turn up the flames of our spirit within us and get cooking! II Timothy 1:6 says to “fan into flames” the gift of God. As we have most all enjoyed a campfire, or the warmth of a wood stove, it is an easy to understand action to fan or flame up a fire by blowing upon it. We add oxygen, stir up and ignite the spirit within us in many ways.

An Action Item

We can take action! To fan or stir up comes from the word anazōpyreō G329, which is to: to kindle up anew, inflame, rekindle, one’s mind, strength, zeal. It literally is to get spiritually fired up. Many actions can stir us in the spirit like prayer, study, teaching or speaking God’s Word. Sometimes it is a simple as asking God a question and seeking his leading to show us the answer. Growing in our connection with Him, seeking diligently a greater depth of understanding and application of the Word are all motivation. We can fan the flames of our spirit and become white hot for God!
