Today’s Living Word – Let Freedom Ring

4–6 minutes

God speaks prophecy to those He has called by name:

What is in a name? Respect? Heritage? Power and privilege? Does the name of a president of a company or a country carry recognition and adoration? What of the names of the most wealthy people on earth? Do they speak a word, and all rise up to hear? And what legacy is there for those kings and presidents who do evil and rob the people and the planet that they should be serving with their positions of power? These are things to consider when you begin to align yourselves with the most powerful name that is above every name, Jesus Christ, the King of Kings.

Look to his ways as you follow him. He did not sit in the highest seats nor receive the adoration of men. He was a servant to all – and he was served by none. Expect him to lead you to strange places in your service to others. Who were those who heard his call and turned to follow his name? They were the poor, the lost, the downtrodden, the workers of iniquity, the working class, those bound by evil, the sick and suffering. Can you find any people who wear those labels about you? Do you see them sitting in your churches, or have you made your temples pious and uninviting? There is a reason it is called “outreach”!

And where shall you bring those who you find? It is not a gathering of numbers, my children, but a connecting of spirits. Bring the hungry to Christ and He will bring them to me. I seek many to come into our eternal Kingdom, for many are called and have not received my spirit, and many more have not heard that I have sent my Son to deliver my spirit. Speak up of the great salvation I have given in Jesus Christ. Speak of his name and the freedom from every mental prison it brings. Speak life in the face of death and despair. Speak healing in Jesus Christ, the name that brings wholeness to all flesh. Use the name of the man I sent to release all from bondage, and know that at his name, every creature of every name must bow in humility and submission. Go now, my children, and speak his name. Flood the earth with the name of all power and authority. Let freedom ring out in the name of Jesus Christ.

Today’s Written Word

Psalm 119:6 Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.

Proverbs 28:21 To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress.

Exodus 6:8 And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD.

Exodus 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

I Peter 5:3 Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.

Luke 20:46 Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;

II Corinthians 2:17b but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

I Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Galatians 3:22 NLT But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ.

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty (freedom) wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

A Word of Encouragement

God speaks of our freedom in the name of Jesus Christ. He has freed us from death and delivered us into eternal life and relationship with him and our Father God. We are to follow after the example Jesus Christ set for us when he walk the earth. He was humble, and modest and did not seek the adoration of people, but only God. He showed out how to reach out to those in need, the sick and desperate, those who could not find relief or help from the culture and the society they lived in. He went to dark places and loved the unlovable. We can do the same as we get up and reach out.

An Action Item

What an encouraging message to bring the hungry to Christ and he will lead them to God! We are not seeking to increase our numbers at Church, but to win souls to the family. Jesus Christ is the way to the Father, and we can introduce the unsaved, or even the disconnected to our Lord. Let’s speak about Christ, speak of his healing, speak of his peace, and let freedom ring out!

Victories and Blessings

Recently, a few believers went to a local park and met a delightful woman who expressed an interest in attending a Bible Study. She came to the Living Word meeting later the same day and said she was blessed by the experience and plans to attend again. What a joy to meet other people who love the Lord!

Please share some of your victories, blessings and prayer requests so others can rejoice and believe with you.
