Today’s Living Word – Love, Life, and Kindness

4–6 minutes

God speaks prophecy to all:

What have I asked of my children today? Are you slaves for Christ, or dedicated to long lists of rituals and ceremonies that bore you to tears and cause you to avoid my churches? NO! Those are not my ways and I do not dwell there. My way is new and fresh and exciting. My way is love and life and power. I am a God who is everywhere and in all who love me. That is my first and greatest commandment – to love me, and to love others. LOVE your fellow man, my children. Open your eyes and begin to notice those around you. Give your time, attention and genuine compassion to all who will receive it, and I will pour my love into you so you may give it out.

All you seek in this life is part of the inner desire to connect with me, your Father and the giver of all life. You learn social skills so you can fit in, in society. You seek professional success to be able to build a life of comfort and supply food and shelter for yourself and your loved ones. You are workers of self-development and self-sufficiency because you seek joy and inner peace. Those do not come from your work, nor the world, my children. I am the giver of true joy, and only I can guarantee your inner peace. Stop striving to earn your way to success and turn to me. To love me and to give my love to others is the greatest success in life.

I have given you the instructions on how to love in my Word and some have understood. Have you considered that those are not only the ways to show your love to others but also to me, and to yourselves? Consider the first three directions (in first Corinthians 13:4). Love is patient, kind and not self-promoting. Look those up and take some time to meditate on them. These are my ways of loving you. They are your basis of how to love yourselves and others. They are also how YOU are instructed to LOVE ME. Come to me with the patience to listen and fellowship. Nothing is more important for your success in this life. Be kind in your communications about yourselves and others, and be humble to wait upon my wisdom and instruction. You need not deliver a long prayer about all you need or all you have done right or wrong. I know all. Ask of me what I would have you do, and how to love me and others. True success is loving and being loved. Come, listen, learn, receive, give, succeed, rejoice, live, love. Win!

Today’s Written Word

Luke 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as  thyself.

I Corinthians 13:13 NKJV And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

I Corinthians 13:4 – 8a

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself,  is not puffed up,

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Charity never faileth:

Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

A Word of Encouragement

God’s ways are not filled with boring repetition or stale rituals. He leads us in love and joy and His way of living is fresh and exciting. Praise God! He is encouraging us to show genuine love and compassion towards our fellow man. We are called to treat others in the way we would like to be treated. Like the story of the good Samaritan who helped the man along the road who had been beaten and robbed. Without knowing him, he helped get him to safety, paid for his room so he could rest and recover, and asked the innkeeper to care for the stranger at his own expense. Luke 10:30-37. Looks like love and kindness to me.

An Action Item

God is pointing out that we are to be walking in love toward ourselves, each other, and also toward Him by being “patient, kind and not self-promoting”. What great encouragement. Perhaps today, we can all practice those three in our own walk in how we speak of ourselves and others. We can sit with our loving Father in heaven and show our patience with Him. We do not need to give Him a long prayer list of all we did right or wrong, for He knows all. We can just ask what He would like us to do today.
