Today’s Living Word – Walk in Christ

4–6 minutes

Christ speaks prophecy to the brethren:

A walk with me is a joyful thing. I do not charge you rent for allowing you to rest in me. I do not ask hard things of you, but bring you success in all you do in my name. The list of mighty works in Mark 16 is only the beginning of what you can achieve by walking with me. Yes, I want you to clean up my church for I cannot work in those who are housing devils in their minds and bodies. They are in need of deliverance. You who are delivered can help them.

Come into my heart and see the love and forgiveness there. Abide in the flow of life-giving waters that rush over your mind and soul when you sit at my feet in obedience. This is not a difficult thing to do but few do it. Very few of our brethren know how to stop racing and be in fellowship in the spirit. Stop racing past us your whole day and only stopping by to grab a snack or a word as from a vending machine.

The Father and I are your life stream, your all-in-all and your 24/7 family. Do not come and go from our presence, but come and stay to hear and commune with me your Christ, and to rest in my authority as the head of our church. I am your counselor who sends you out as my ambassador. Have you asked me to whom you are sent, or do you follow another? Ask me and I will lead you to the hungry.

There is a time of great need coming, one filled with sickness, sorrow and depression. You are sent with health, joy, and hope to lift others up and out of the ways of darkness. You know the taste of fresh, healthy food and that of old and soured. Do not eat of the old my brethren- but seek out the new, lively and powerful words I give each day.

Come and sit a while in the light, for I am the light of the world. Those that have me are in the light, those who do not are lost in darkness. Abide in my light, power and direction, for I am the Living Word, your word of life today.

Today’s Written Word

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

II Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest (to tent upon one, of the power of Christ working within him and giving him help) upon me.

Luke 1:79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Proverbs 18:4 AMP

The words of a man’s mouth are like deep waters [copious and difficult to fathom]; The fountain of [mature, godly] wisdom is like a bubbling stream [sparkling, fresh, pure, and life-giving].

Colossians 2:10 NIV and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

II Corinthians 2:14 NKJV Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.

A Word of Encouragement

One of the greatest keys to joy is a lack of fear. We are thankful for all God has given us in Christ, even the rest or “tent upon” us, that brings us peace and overcomes all trepidation. He said he does not charge us rent to rest in him! If we pictured ourselves exposed to the wilderness and the storms of the world, knowing Christ comes to tent upon us to give us rest from all that comes. As I meditated on that image, I thought about those who do not know Christ yet, who would really appreciate a good tent in a storm.

An Action Item

We are encouraged to dwell in Christ, to abide and be at home 24/7 in him, at rest and delivered in joy. We can help deliver others by doing the works he did and greater. Mark 16:15-20 he says to: preach the gospel, believe with signs following, cast out devils, speak with new tongues, and lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. Then he ascended into heaven and the disciples went forth “The Lord working with them and confirming the Word with signs following” ! We serve the same Lord Christ today, and he is still working with us as we develop our relationship and seek him – the Living Word!

Victories and Blessings

Sunday was a very joyful fellowship. We opened the teaching up for an “all share” and enjoyed hearing God’s Word taught by many blessed and wise Christian believers. Thank you all for being faithful and reaching out to another who was not here with us to share the good news with them. Praise God for He is VERY good!

Please share some of your victories, blessings and prayer requests so others can rejoice and believe with you.
