Christ speaks prophecy of false gods:

What is a God? Who has made one? When man fashions a statue to honor a false god, it is because the god they serve has inspired it. A statue of a golden calf is recognized as evil to all who do not worship Baal, but a statue of a man or woman who God Almighty has created, is also evil. For God has said, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” (Leviticus 26:1) And He has said not to worship idols of anything in the spiritual realm, or creation, or of things in the earth and seas. (Exodus 20:3)

The only true God is my Father and yours. The multiple hundreds of false gods are without power to deliver you, or to help in any situation, for they are all of evil origin. If the world understood that a Buddha statue was bringing the devil spirit of slumber into their home, they would toss it out. Or that the spirit of lack comes with worshipping drugs and alcohol. You do not agree? What is true worship? The Good Book says that what we give our time, devotion and money to is what we are worshipping. Look at those who spend their time and money on an addiction. Do they have wealth or lack?

What about the spirit of greed and power? What kind of symbol or statue do they promote? Is it a home that is far too large for those who live there, or a boat or car that surpasses the functional purposes? Who is tithing their basic 10% to God who created them, and serving Him by helping their fellow man? That is not a commandment, but an invitation to the health and wealth our Father offers. It is an opportunity to invest in a sure thing- your blessings in this life and all of eternity.

If you are not thriving, perhaps you could look around your home and do some cleaning up and clearing out of things that do not honor God. Pray to God and ask if anything offends Him. Sit in true humility and He will direct your path to live in harmony with Him. Test the spirits and discard all false gods and false doctrines so you may serve only the one true God.

Exodus 20:4

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of Any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, Or that is in the water under the earth;

Leviticus 26:1

Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the Lord your God.

I Corinthians 14:25 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.

Worship: proskyneō = meaning to kiss, like a dog licking his master’s hand; to fawn or crouch to, i.e. (literally or figuratively) prostrate oneself in homage, to do reverence to, adore.

Luke 11:39 Then the Lord said to him, “Now you Pharisees make the outside of the cup and dish clean, but your inward part is full of greed and wickedness.

Philippians 3:15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

A Word of Encouragement

There is a large bronze statue of a bull at the entrance to the stock market in New York. I will never look at it the same way. We all desire to worship our Father by living according to His will in the Bible, and to not allow spiritual contamination into our lives. I am not aware of anyone bowing down to worship the bronze calf, but I am certainly aware of how many people trust in, rely on and serve the financial markets it represents. Jesus Christ said to spend some time in prayer and ask God to reveal to us by the spirit if there is anything in our lives and homes that offends Him and get rid of it.

An Action Item

The verses from Leviticus and Exodus about standing up idols of anything God has made tell us that many Christians are not obeying God’s word. We are told not to pray to people, living or dead , or animals, or devils. So some of the major religions that teach their followers to set up idols, are really serving devils, and false gods. Devils give only evil, and cannot help us. Let’s get busy throwing out junk out of love for our Father God, the one true God. Let’s decontaminate our homes and bring God’s peace and blessing in.
