God speaks prophecy to all:

All that is, was before and all that will be, will be from the past. New things will be the ways of old people, and those who have been at rest will soon be the best teachers. Look to the hills for knowledge and follow the gray-headed men for understanding. It is a true saying.

Gear up, pare down, slow down, study up – all good instructions for the days ahead. What would you do if you could not go to your job for a week? It would be a nice break. But what if it was for a month, or a year? Do you have skills that would be helpful to your neighbors? Can you make or grow something? Think about it. Rethink your savings and spending.

How do you save extra when the abundance is flowing? You can put some back in the freezer and cupboards. That will do for a bit, but then when winter comes, what will you eat? The civilizations of old stored grains for hard times, and they lasted for years. Beans, rice and hard grains will be what see you through when the stores run dry. Rainwater will be your source when the taps stop flowing. All will be shaken and all will suffer lack in one form or another from place to place and time to time. Do not be those in lack my children. Be prepared, as I have said many, many times. Store up now.

Pray for my instruction for you and your families individually. Know that I care for you and will give you opportunity and substance to manage your income and storage so you can have what you will need. Do not fear the storms but pray and prepare, so you will be in plenty. The things you have in your homes may not be useful in an emergency. What would you be using if there was no electricity for 30 to 60 days? Be ready for no lights, no heat, no electricity, and in some places, no plumbing. Think it through and have a plan in place. Going to your neighbor’s house will not be available, for all neighbors will have the same challenges and doors will quickly be locked down in an emergency.

My love for you is great, my precious ones. But you must hear my voice and act now. I am giving you a strong forewarning of what is to come, for your protection and peace. Obey my voice.

Today’s Written Word

Ecclesiastes 1:9 ESV What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.

Leviticus 19:32 NIV Stand up in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God. I am the LORD.

Genesis 41:35,36 ESV And let them gather all the food of these good years that are coming and store up grain under the authority of Pharaoh for food in the cities, and let them keep it. That food shall be a reserve for the land against the seven years of famine that are to occur in the land of Egypt, so that the land may not perish through the famine.”

Amos 3:6,7 AMP If a trumpet is blown in a city [warning of danger] will not the people tremble? If a disaster or misfortune occurs in a city has not the Lord caused it? Surely the Lord God does nothing without revealing His secret plan [of the judgment to come] To His servants the prophets.

Ezekiel 33:4,5 ESV and if he sees the sword coming upon the land and blows the trumpet and warns the people, then if anyone who hears the sound of the trumpet does not take warning, and the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet and did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But if he had taken warning, he would have saved his life.

A Word of Encouragement

Oh how sweet to trust in our Mighty God, our Father! His love and care to forewarn us is great. Every time we receive new information, I feel blessed and privileged to know what is to come. Tomorrow is a great day to get another bag of beans, and rice, and maybe another solar lantern too.

An Action Item

The question about what would we do with a week, month or year off of work got me thinking. There are many business ideas that I have been wanting to get started. Perhaps this is the time to be entrepreneurial, and also to learn how to wash our clothes by hand. The dichotomy will be interesting, but we will be well cared for as we walk hand-in-hand with our God and with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. This is going to be exciting!

Praise God, the book we were encouraged to write is in the final stages of editing! What a joy to be able to share the scriptures.
