Today’s Living Word- Heavenly Parade

3–5 minutes

Christ speaks a prophetic preview of coming events for the unsuspecting:

A day of rejoicing has arrived. The ticker tape is flying. Crowds are gathering and every preparation has been made for the celebration. It is a parade for the faithful – all those who were called to action that rose up to fight the war against evil. They are our heroes, for they did not cower in unbelief, but suited up in the armor of God to take on the enemy. They are coming now – entering from the Father’s throne to come forward in their glory. They are wearing robes of white and sashes of gold. Crowns of many kinds and jewels about them like rainbows shine forth.

Clap and sing for they have won! The battle is over, and our foes have been defeated. Sing a song of praise to our mighty God who made a way from our suffering to our joy. Praise our God of victory who gave a Savior to lead this mighty procession. It is Christ the King who rules and reigns. In my vehement rage upon the evil, I have defended the innocent and they are free.

Rejoice, rejoice my brethren, for this day is yet before us, but it will come soon. Be those who take up your armor and fight. Be in the flow of my spirit now, and get moving on those assignments I have given you. Look forward to receiving much praise and many rewards for your joy will be great and your rewards will be many. Take up your swords and fight – for the war has come and we are all required to engage. The sooner you begin, the more glorious will be your rewards. Come, stand, fight!

Today’s Written Word

II Corinthians 2:14

Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

II Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

I Corinthians 15:57,58 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

I John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Revelation 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

A Word of Encouragement

What a glorious preview of the celebration we will enjoy as the faithful who stand against evil today, and how we will be rewarded in the future. The words of Christ paint a dramatic picture of the victorious procession and what we will look like and how we will be arrayed once the victory has been won and rewards have been given. Today is the time of battle and all who have answered the call to make Christ our Lord are required to suit up. Let’s get our armor on, and be fully prepared for this spiritual warfare by being strengthened by God’s word and walking in the spirit.

An Action Item

It is our faith, or believing of the Word of God – Christ Jesus our Lord that overcomes evil. I like a battle I can win with words. We can all speak the Word we know, for we have God’s gift of holy spirit – Christ in us!

I John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Let’s raise our spiritual swords and wield the Word of God for victory today!

Victories and Blessings

A faithful believer shared, “I went to a store this morning and when the clerk asked, how are you today, I replied – redeemed, blessed, and filled with the light of God’s Word”! She said the clerk looked up shared a great big smile and said, “I love it”! A good conversation followed. Praise God for his love for all 🙂
