Today’s Living Word – Obey & Live

4–6 minutes

God speaks prophecy to the hungry who seek my nourishment:

“No food! There is no food anywhere!”, they will shout and complain, and none will answer. Will you be ready, or will you be in the crowd of those seeking nourishment and life sustaining food from others? I am your life and your nourishment. I am the only God and the only way to live through the trials to come. I made trees to grow upon the earth and created the great whales, and I can put food on your tables.

I have stored up for you my children, and I do have hidden treasures to sustain you, but you must hear me and obey while it is day. The night comes when you may not go out to gather. You have been warned – you have been instructed. As I cry out for your obedience, many of you continue on your own path. There will not be another year, nor many months to obey. You must heed my warnings today, or you will be the hungry. Do not go into these storms naked and exposed to what the enemy has planned. Get yourselves well prepared. Fill ye up my storehouses, put ye on my armor and fight! For your very lives depend on your obedience to my voice.

What happens to the child who plays in the street when he was instructed to stay in the safety of his yard? What of the country who said, “One nation under God” and casts God out of their government, schools, and churches? What does my Word say of the coming judgment for the disobedient ones? The very minimum needed to live through the coming shakings is:

  • To hear my voice.
  • To obey all I say quickly.
  • To be well stocked with all you need for food, water, heat, and personal care.

Be in my will; be willing to care for yourselves and others as I give. Hear, obey, receive.

Today’s Written Word

Acts 11:27-29  27And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch. 28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar. 29 Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:

Dearth, limos, Strong’s G3042, a scarcity of food: translated as dearth, famine, hunger.

Isaiah 45:3  And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

Gen 41:28,34-36  28 This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he sheweth unto Pharaoh. 34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years. 35 And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities. 36 And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.

Genesis 41:48 And he (Joseph) gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was round about every city, laid he up in the same.

Psalm 33:11,12  11 The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. 12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

A Word of Encouragement

God our Father is so good! He both warns us of the coming times of trials and “storms” from our enemy, and He tells us how to prepare. We need to acknowledge our need for God and rely on Him as our true way of life and nourishment. God assures us he is able to provide for our needs and He has hidden treasures to sustain us.  The Bible records examples of God sustaining his people. The Christian Churches in the Book of Acts were forewarned of a famine and they prepared and survived. Much earlier in Egypt, God worked through both Pharaoh and Joseph to prepare for a great famine during the 7 years before it starteded. Just as God saved Israel (Jacob) and all his sons and families, He will save us too as we humble ourselves to hear and obey Him.
