Christ speaks prophecy to the meek and growing:

What is a garden? Is it a bunch of beautiful flowers that give off a lovely fragrance? Or a multitude of veggies that are ready to be picked and enjoyed? A successful and mature garden has good fruit for the picking whether it be food or flowers or herbs. You have each been given an eternal seed, a spiritual life that begins with receiving me as your Lord. That seed of life is within you waiting for the washing of water with the Word to germinate it. The written Word is light and health. I am the Living Word and as you receive my words and apply them, you will grow. To become a mature tree that bears fruit you must let the old man die and give all your energy to the new.

Growing takes energy and nourishment. You will need to reach your roots deep into the good ground of the scriptures. God calls them your firm foundation because they are the stability and source of your supply. All food, metals, gas, and even oxygen come from the earth that our Father has made, for he is your life and supplies all to sustain life. The good earth represents God’s word to you.

Each one of you have been planted upon the good soil where God has placed you. He chose the locations that you could grow in to become tall and mature in me. What kind of plant are you? Were you created to give off a sweet fragrance and draw others to our Father’s garden? Are you a producer of sweet fruit that draws the hungry and feeds them with love, joy, and peace? Or perhaps you are a seedling that has not yet dug into the words of life? Do not wither from the heat of the coming fires my brethren, nor faint from a lack of refreshing in me your living waters- but come to the fountain of life and be refreshed now. God gives you your nourishment by his written Words. I am your Living Word, the flowing of His spirit in you and over you. Come to us for understanding, growth, and enlightenment. Pour on the goodness of God and light up your life so you may grow tall and strong and be a good tree who produces good fruit.

Today’s Written Word

Genesis 2:8,9

And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Matthew 16:34 – 43 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

A Word of Encouragement

Let’s enjoy being the good seeds that our Father God has planted in good ground. Let’s reap all the bounty that comes from the earth He has provided to bless us. Let’s receive all our Lord Christ has to give us each day as we walk in his words and let him lead us. This is a time of great acceleration, great growth and great blessing in the midst of turmoil and disaster. Let’s celebrate God’s goodness, provision and protection to the good seeds as we choose to obey him and walk in His way, Jesus Christ.

An Action Item

Christ is asking us to consider what kind of plant we are? It is good to know our calling and purpose in the spiritual garden. A friend of mine is the most joyful, bubbly lady who LOVES to bless others in any way she can. She always has a sweet smile and loving greeting for everyone, and because of her tireless and joyful giving, she is a great evangelist. She finds the meek and brings them to the family of God. A great encouragement to each of us to ask our Lord Christ what He wants us to do for Him today. How can I be a good plant or tree in our Fathers spiritual garden? Let’s do that 🙂
