Our Lord Jesus Christ speaks prophecy to all who will hear:
A house divided shall not stand. My house is now divided but not between those who are mine and those who are not, but it is divided by those who can hear and those who cannot. Those who hear my voice are moving quickly and making ready for the coming storms. Those who cannot hear me are asleep to what is coming and are following others who they trust, who are also asleep. There will be a great wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Awaken all you can. Call out to those sleepers and charge them to prepare, for a heavy darkness is coming and no flesh can withstand it. Buy up your supplies and quietly put them away. Do not say to your neighbor, “I have made me a storehouse” nor to the stranger, “we are well supplied” for they will come back when the food is gone and seek what you have advertised. Be wise and do not tell others of your storehouse, tell them of your Lord who saves and leads you to victory.
I am speaking now for the unsaved and the sleepers to open your eyes and hearts to my leading and to hear my words. This is not a game of cat and mouse, nor a physical competition of who is more respected or who has more followers. This is your eternity! Will you choose to spend it in great delight with our Father in heaven rejoicing in His love and light, or will you be in utter darkness, alone and afraid? Choose the light of life my brethren. Do not delay but put your whole heart and soul into reaching out for me. I am here. I am alive. I am a living savior to you and I long to lead you to the heart of God.
Today’s Written Word
Exodus 19:9 And the LORD said to Moses, “Lo, I am coming to you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and may also believe you for ever.” Then Moses told the words of the people to the LORD.
Hear, šāmaʿ, Strong’s Hebrew word H8085: to hear intelligently (often with implication of attention, obedience, etc.). In the KJV, šāmaʿ is most often translated as – hear, hearken, and obey.
John 8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
John 8:43 Amplified Bible: “Why do you misunderstand what I am saying? It is because [your spiritual ears are deaf and] you are unable to hear [the truth of] My word.
Hebrews 3:15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Harden, sklērynō, Strong’s Greek word G4645: to indurate, i.e. (figuratively) render stubborn; to render obstinate, stubborn. Hebrews 3:15 is a warning against the “hardening” of the heart.
Jonah 1:6 So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.
Sleeper, rāḏam, Strong’s Hebrew word H7290: to stun, i.e. stupefy (with sleep or death), {Jonah was fast asleep in a ship during a mighty tempest in the sea even though the ship was likely to be broken}.
A Word of Encouragement
We always have choices to make and we have the ability and leading from our Lord Christ to make good choices. In his prophecy today, Jesus Christ tells us clearly that his house, which is the Church of the Body of Christ is now divided between Christian believers who hear Christ and are obedient to his word, and those who cannot hear him, or who are not listening for him or to him. Hearing is more than perceiving sound by the ears, and could be an inspired thought or even a scripture reference brought to our attention. In Christ’s prophecy today, it means to listen attentively and to choose appropriate actions such as, “Those who hear my voice are moving quickly and making ready for the coming storms.” We can still take action and be ready.
An Action Item
Another “hearing” is for those who are listening, to waken all we can and to call out to those sleepers and encourage them to prepare. Many people simply haven’t heard yet, that very difficult, dark and dangerous times are coming before this present Age of Grace closes out. I am reminded of Matthew 16:2,3 He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times (ESV). Let’s do hear the Lord, discern the signs of the times and take action to prepare our homes and hearts while there is still time. Seek the Lord; he will answer.
