Today’s Living Word – Come Up!

3–5 minutes

Our Father God speaks prophecy to all:

For you my people there is a sanctuary, a place set aside where you can come away from the cares of the world and commune with me your God. You are not of this world, but you are visible and fleshly in it. My spirit in you longs to connect with me your Father – the author of life. I have placed my spirit in you to open the window of heaven, and pour my light, understanding and love into each of you. My strength and energizing will manifest as you look to me with focus and expectation. Turn away from the flesh and turn to me now. Open your hearts, minds and bodies to receive my glory, my power, and my love. Be focused on me and come up to my heavenly throne. Receive, receive, receive.

Today’s Written Word

II Corinthians 30:8Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto the LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you.

Ephesians 2:14,18For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

Hebrews 4:12, 16For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Acts 7:55But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the GLORY of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

I Thessalonians 2:12, 20

That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

For ye are our glory and joy.

Revelation 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Revelation 4:2And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

A Word of Encouragement

We are invited to come up to the throne of God and find rest and grace. Others have recorded encounters in God’s throne room. We read in the scriptures that we are also seated in the heavenlies with Christ our Lord. This is a time for choosing God’s sanctuary over the stress and chaos of the world, even if it is for a short time each day. We focus on God in prayer and we listen for His voice, His thoughts, His revelation and leading. He gives grace and mercy when we come unto Him in faith, and faith comes by hearing His word.

An Action Item

Looking to God with focus and expectation requires time, dedication and practice. Like meditating on the word of God, we must first find quiet. We claim a quiet place. We quiet our own thoughts. We focus on our praise and prayers to our mighty God and Father, and then we sit in peace and listen, seeking Him. It is in the quiet and stillness of our worship and praise of God that the windows of heaven open. It is when our hands are raised in praise that He can pour out His glory, peace and love. Be still and receive.
