Today’s Living Word – A Glimpse

5–7 minutes

God our Father speaks prophecy to His children:

A time of rejoicing is coming, like you’ve never known! It’s new and exciting like a huge party that’s being planned to celebrate, but you do not know the date yet. I will let you know when the time comes because you are all invited.  It will be a celebration to remember, one that will be spoken of for many eons. All who attend will receive. All were invited, but far too many have declined my invitation; they had other plans. Once they find out about the generous gifts that are passed out to you as you arrive, they will come running to collect. Word will get out quickly. They will wave their invitations and say “we were invited, where are our gifts?”. The master of the celebration will welcome them in but the gifts will all have been handed out already. They were already dispersed, and they will sorrow for being late. ”You were invited, just as the others” He will say, “but you ignored my calling home”.

At the party, many are playing with their new gifts and sharing them amongst the first group. Some have large vessels of jewels and coins. Some have interesting inventions that solve big problems. Some have recipes, blueprints for great success in new arenas. Some are overwhelmed with love and joy and are giving out words of compassion and encouragement, sharing their hearts and drawing the others together in unity to share all of these precious gifts with each other. Those who arrived late are standing apart from the others. Separate, sad and disappointed, not knowing how to blend in or connect. ”We are so far behind” they say. Please help us catch up.

Will you share your new toys my children? Will you let them use them? Those who rejected my calling, who left the work and preparation to you? Remember my children, those who chose the world over me will still need your love and my resources. Be well prepared for the coming celebration, but also be well prepared to welcome those who arrive at the last minute. I have called them home and it is my will that you should help them and make them feel welcome. I will multiply your gifts as you share with those who have none. Rise up to walk in love and forgiveness. The invitations have been sent.

Today’s Written Word

Acts 2:44-47And all that believed were together, and had all things common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

I Peter 1:22Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Matthew 22:4,5,10, 14

Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: . . . .

So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.. . . .

For many are called, but few are chosen.

Luke 15:20,23, 24,32And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. . . . .

And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:

For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. . . . . .

It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

A Word of Encouragement

We are looking forward to receiving many new and exciting gifts from our Father God, and we are well prepared for the challenges ahead. We will reach out to all God has called , and we will share His goodness and abundance with them. We do walk in love and we do have plenty to give. This is the time to set our hearts and minds upon God’s encouragement to be ready to make others feel accepted in His beloved, welcome in our homes and churches, and supplied by our generous God. His mercies never fail and His love endures forever. We have God’s love reigning in us through Christ and the holy spirit within. We can do all things through him.

An Action Item

Can we think of someone who professes Christianity, but does not walk in love? Sure! Some of us can think of a bunch :) Will we look forward to those people showing up at our door when calamity strikes or famine is heavy upon us? Will we lovingly and joyfully welcome them in? YES! Yes we will! We will even welcome those who do not know God or His Son Jesus Christ, for all are called. Let’s picture ourselves in those very positions and find the words and actions we will draw on. That is how we prepare our hearts and minds. Let’s build our hearts of love and forgiveness NOW.

Victories and Blessings

Prayer partners have started connecting in our family of believers. Do you have a prayer buddy, or a couple of faithful Christians who you can pray with daily? Who would drop everything and pray with you or run to your aid in times of great need? We encourage all of you to develop a strong prayer life by connecting with one or two people who will help build our strength and faithfulness in these times of peace and preparation.

Please share some of your victories, blessings and prayer requests so others can rejoice and believe with you.
