Our Lord Jesus Christ speaks prophecy:

What is spiritual growth to maturity? Is it strength to walk by the holy spirit within? Yes. Is is the ability to cast out devils and heal the sick? Yes! It is also the ability to stand when storms come and to lead, when others are afraid. You are my mature ones who have turned to hear and see, and I am calling upon you now to stand up and shelter those who are new seedlings. Help them to take root in the good soil of our family of God. Show them how to read and study the scriptures. Teach prayer and listening so they may hear my voice and follow in my leading as you do.

Many are required to tend God’s garden of the spirit. He has given every seed of every variety for a healthy and abundant supply. Some are lovely flowers and produce fragrant petals and bring joy. Some are for food and give strength to continue the work. Some are to grow tall trees for shade and protection, but all are of God and all are necessary. What is your function in the family of God? Do you bring joy, or feed the flock or protect from evil?

Our Father has placed each of you in His family and you are in His garden right where He planted you so you can grow and flourish. You are necessary and vital to complete those around you. Not all plants are good. Remember the tares? Look for those about you that are sent by God. Encourage their growth and nourish them with His love and His word. Strengthen one another by lifting up and not tearing down. Show love to energize the believing and confidence in each other as you live and serve with me your Lord.

Today is a wonderful day to enjoy the fruit of the mature trees about you. Taste the sweetness of the love, joy and peace. Walk together in patience and gentleness, speaking that which is good. Be slow to speak but quick to hear with a meek and good heart toward one another. Walk with great believing and stand against the evil in unity and strength. For there is no power nor principality that can prevail when you walk with me by the spirit.

Hebrews 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age (mature), even those who by reason of use have their (spiritual) senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Ephesians 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

II Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Galatians 5:22,23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

A Word of Encouragement

One of the greatest desires of little children is to be big. They want to measure how tall they are and are constantly testing boundaries to see how far and fast they can go. As God’s children, we want to grow spiritually with that same enthusiasm. Just as with children in the physical realm, we grow and mature from infants needing much care, to powerful spiritual adults walking with our Lord Jesus Christ. His meat was to DO the will of Him that sent him. Christians on milk are babes in Christ, but the mature ones are on meat and DO the will of God.

An Action Item

God’s word tells us we grow up into Christ as we speak the truth in love. We can also measure our spiritual success by looking at the fruit of the spirit in our lives. God blesses as we are consistent and faithful. We will walk in His power, we will see great fruit produced, and we will reach others by demonstrating His mighty power. Let’s get growing!

Upcoming Meetings:

We welcome you to join us on Sunday afternoons at 3:00 pm for Bible Fellowship, songs, prayer and teaching of the scriptures in person or listen by phone. The meeting is followed by a family style meal and joyful fellowship with God’s family. See the online calendar for details.

The Tuesday morning meeting is at 10:00 am. Enjoy Tea & Coffee, Bible study and an interactive time in the scriptures.

Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm we will serve light snacks, and enjoy an interactive topical Bible study. Our family style dinner has been moved to Sundays following the fellowship meeting.
