Today’s Living Word – Storms

4–7 minutes

Our Father speaks prophecy:

Stand still my children; do not scurry about in a panic. You have been warned of these storms of correction to balance the scales of justice. Know my will is just, and my deliverance is at hand. Be at peace in your thoughts and do not strive in this hour of darkness. Be well prepared and settled in safety. Be with me in your hour of need and I will supply answers to your questions, food for your tables and heat for your homes. Listen to my leading. I am giving you opportunities to be in plenty before it is too late. Heed my calling to action. Hear my voice break forth in your darkest hours and be in my shelter when the storms pass over.

You are in my sight at all times my beloved. My eyes are ever and always upon my family. Know that I will never leave you. I will never forsake the faithful remnant for you are the stability of this nation, the ones who will carry my word to all nations. A bright and glorious future is coming. Be joyful in knowing that I am cleansing the evil from the earth and making your path free from the obstacles they have placed there. Run to me for comfort, pour out your prayers and open your hearts to me in your joy and sorrow. I am here my children, awaiting your request. My storehouse is full and I am a generous and loving God that will not withhold. Be brave, be wise, be in my care and plenty now.

Today’s Written Word

Psalm 34:8 – 21

O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

A Word of Encouragement

Our loving God is forever calling us near to Him. He warns of the coming storms and reminds us of His protection. We know there are storms happening around the globe. He has warned of a severe winter storm to arrive here soon. Let’s be prepared and peaceful so we can stay in and stay safe when others may be racing around trying to grab what food and supplies they can at the last minute. We are never in fear when we stand with our heavenly Father, for He is our peace. He is our sufficiency, and He is a generous and loving God.

An Action Item

We were surprised to see lightning, hear thunder and see a LOT of hail come down in our yard tonight. It was not expected. We do not always know what each day will bring, but our God does. Let’s heed His warning to prepare for a storm. An ice storm shut down the power grid in Texas a couple of years ago. There was no heat, no electricity, no water and no help for many days. We can prepare now, and prevail over obstacles by obeying God, getting organized and checking our supplies in advance.

Some things to check on are: 1) Do you have the hoses, faucets and water lines winterized? 2) Are there any trees or landscaping to trim up in case of an ice storm? 3) Do you have plenty of solar or battery lanterns, candles, matches and so on for light? 4) Do you have back up heat, a fireplace, generator, indoor safe heater? 5) Do you have easy to prepare foods and plenty of water if the utilities go out? 6) Do you have batteries for flashlights, radio, and a phone charger you can use from your car battery? 7) What about ice melt, or a snow shovel, winter tires or chains? If we woke to a blanket of ice and snow, could we stay home in safety for a week or so?

Thanks for listening, and being prepared. We are praying for God’s best as we stand and prevail together in His family!

Victories and Blessings

A great thing happened this afternoon. One believer guy texted another believer guy about planning to get together. He found out his friend’s power had been out for 14 hours. He immediately prayed for the power to come back on – in the authority of Jesus Christ. A few minutes later, he received a text back from his friend. “Power’s back on.” Praise God! He is good always, and He is always good!
